Another "major problem" listed in the study that "significantly contributed" to her demise was a "sternal fracture owing to blunt trauma."

Last week in West Los Angeles, Heche was injured when her automobile jumped a curb and crashed into a house.

whereupon it caught fire. She was in critical condition when she was brought to the hospital.
