The 10th season of the sitcom "Goldbergs" will have a dead character played by Jeff Garlin.
The show's creators, Chris Bishop and Alex Barnow, recently discussed how they eliminated Murray Goldberg from the Goldberg family in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
Nearly a year has passed since the premiere of the most recent season of "The Goldbergs," which was cancelled after a human resources inquiry into Garlin's conduct on production.
In a Q&A that was published on Tuesday, Barnow stated to Entertainment Weekly that "[Garlin] is] not going to be on the season, definitely."
"[Murray] will be dead, and we're kind of starting from a point where his passing was a few months ago. Already in mourning, the family.
Garlin said that he can be a "loose canon" at work but called his on-set behaviour "silliness" in the Vanity Fair interview.
He attributed the HR inquiry to "a difference of opinion" between him and Sony Pictures Television, the producing firm.
