NASCAR World's response to Bubba Wallace's contract decision
Bubba Wallace's agreement with 23XI Racing has been extended.
The No. 23 car will continue to be driven by Bubba Wallace through the 2023 season and beyond.
contract extension was done earlier this summer, but the 23 XI Racing team officially announced it this weekend
Bubba's contract and extension with us, according to 23XI Racing co-owner Denny Hamlin, "was definitely well justified from what i've seen all season, not just the last four weeks,"
Wallace has been performing well in recent races; last weekend, he finished second in a Cup Series race.
"I assume it's just a one-year deal with potential extensions from the team."
If Bubba doesn't win races and make the playoffs the next season, the MJ's team may run two different drivers in 2024 than they have currently, one fan speculated.
